My graphics card is the 1GIGABYTE MAYA ATI RADEON 9000 PRO [MD 1998LK]
and it also fails finding the right Gr2d mode. This looks like a decent (non Korean or whatever) forum. SO PLZ HELP that d make me very happy

I see "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D" on the screen.

MapleStory uses the 3D graphic engine. You won't be able to enjoy the game if your graphic card does not support 3D graphic engine. Check to see that your graphic card supports the 3D, and then please check to see if you have installed the latest driver available for your card.

Have you checked your 3D status & tests under dxdiag | Display?

My dad claims the computer quite a lot these days so ill let u no whenever i managed to check it.

I have checked my cpu with the dxdiag and basicly this is where it comes to:

remarkable:I have no Direct3D available...
I had a bad display driver so i threw it off and im on standard now.

Hey all of the sudden my dad comes up with the original cd's

So i can play maple again etc.

Only i did the dxdiag report and it told me that this file (d3d9d.dll)is an old or slow version...
Sinde i dont have the slightest idea what this is id like to forward the question to somebody who knows.

So it was a matter of reinstalling the graphics driver off that CD?

Anyway what is your version of DirectX? That error indicates your version is outdated.

9.0c is the latest. You will see your version on the first screen of dxdiag

I installed the latest new version.

Yes, it all was a matter of finding the right diplay driver for my pc.
