I have a problem with my cd drive it seems to run cds wit music
but not empty cds to burn

What exactly happens? What error do you receive? What burner software are you using?

Did the drive ever burn?

Are you sure that the CD's are compatible with the drive?

well i can run cd's but i can not burn blank cd'z i dont recive any error nero or media player it says no disc inserter. the drive burned but then whole d drive went away and i had 2 reinstall it like u said so and it worked after but now the burning doesnt work.

There is a section: There is no disc in the drive. Please insert a writable CD into drive.

Also you might try the XP built-in burner & also verify that your disks are compatible with the drive.

With both issues you might also question the drive itself. Is it old? Is it good quality?
