I had a ControlKids program installed on my computer however deleted it as I was installing another pc security guard program. However, it appears that it is still running on my pc somewhere as it is not allowing me access to some internet sites - which is really annoying. I have run a search on my pc and have located it in my system32 folder however it wont let me delete it - any ideas?

is it in the add/remove programs list? if so you can un-install it from there
if not, boot in safe mode (see computers manual for instructions as each pc may vary a little) and then try deleting it
you may also want to try and delete it from the registry:
1) click start> run
2)type in regedit.exe
3) click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4) click Software
5) find the program "controlKids" in the list
6) right click on the folder (in the left column) and click "delete"

Also if you get an error e.g. program in use etc. look for it on your Taskbar or the Task Manager & stop it.
