When I Try To Create A Desk Top Shortcut In Win Xp Home The Shortcut Appears On Desktop No Problem!

But ...when I Click To Open It Up I Get The Printer Dialogue Box Not The Web Page??

Any Way To Fix This So I Can Open Web Page??

One question for you: What s/w did you install and run (system maintenance utils?) before this problem was seen? Deletion of an important registry key causes this.

Try the following:

Type REGSVR32 /i SHDOCVW in the RUN box.

If that doesn't clear it try one of these fixes:
