hi,
can somebody help,i have recently had a new pc case and now when i try to save stuff to floppy i get an error message saying "Insert Disc"on top of pop-up with this below "Please insert a disc into drive A:"
i have done a google search, been to the microsoft windows site only this error doesnt come up unless i try to save stuff to floppy??i have also checked in device manager to see if drivers needed updated and right clicked update drivers ,only to have reply say cannot find a better match!
theres no green light on floppy so all connected right+its showing on My computer.........just know what else to try ,any suggestions please?+Please dont say "who needs a floppy" people do use these still even in large companys![]()
Will it read floppys with data already on them or does the error only come up when you try to save to floppy?
No it wont read or write to floppy?Originally Posted by Tassie Devil
When you start the computer the light on the floppy should come on briefly, then go off till a floppy is put in. Do you have a spare floppy drive you can test? They usually just up and stop working one day so other than checking the cable and power supply lead its easiest to replace with a new one.
Thankyou tried on mates pc and it blew upOriginally Posted by Tassie Devil
