hi
my pc was working fine then all of asudden i noticed i cannot move desktop icons or move files in explorer.
i have run a full virus check and used addaware and spybot problem still persists any ideas would be appreciated

no good i can now drag but not drop i have tried a different mouse but i still cannot move files in explorer or on the dektop.

A few ideas I see:

Click Start, Run and execute these commands:


regsvr32 ole32.dll
regsvr32 /i shell32.dll

Right click the start button. Choose properties, customize, advanced, make
sure "enable dragging and dropping" in ticked.

are missing from regestry not sure how to put them in

sorry jephree tried again and it says dllregister server and dll install in shell 32 dll succeeded

still no good i cant move files in explorer or on the desktop

not sure what fixed it but i ran ccleaner and its now working thanks for your help jephree
