First off what did you do exactly that makes you say: " hit the uninstall button for windows xp pro."?

    Where was this "uninstall button"?

The Vmm32.vxd file is not an XP file; it is used on the Windows 9x and ME platforms only.

Do you have multiple Operating Systems? Do you have an XP CD?

You may need to reinstall XP. There is a good guide here:

What is the make & model of the computer? e.g. Dell Dimension 5400 etc.

Was XP pre-installed? Is your CD a Recovery CD?

Still curious as to what you uninstalled. I know of no way that XP could have been uninstalled without a complete format. Certainly not an uninstall button.

Anyway let's start with identifying the computer so we can look up the manual.

all the computor says to model is BE computing ON CASE. I WAS GIVEN A DISC WITH A SERIAL NO WHEN I BOUGHT IT OF EBAY 3 DAYS AGO I WENT IN TO ADD +REMOVE PROGRAMS. THAT IS WHEN I PRESSED THE REMOVE BUTTON

BE computing returns no google searches.

What exactly did you choose to remove from add/remove? Windows XP itself is not listed under add/remove programs.

Have you tried booting the disk? As soon as you power on insert the CD.
If your CD is not set in the BIOS to boot you will need to find the BIOS setup hotkey. Common ones' are <Delete> or <F2> or <F10>.
As soon as you power on press these keys.
Look for the boot menu & set the CD drive to boot before the hard drive.
Then try booting the disk again.

The computer is trying to boot into Windows ME.

I assume this was the original Operating System & the XP CD was an upgrade.

Did you try booting the CD?

Did you try accessing the BIOS boot menu?

Another possibility (assuming that the floppy is set to boot before the hard drive is to create & boot the XP 6 floppy setup as seen here:

It depends on the make of computer.

Do you see a Logo screen before that ME screen? If so it probably has the key for setup.

If your CD is not set in the BIOS to boot you will need to find the BIOS setup hotkey. Common ones' are <Delete> or <Esc> or <F2> or <F10>.
As soon as you power on press these keys. Keep rebooting: keep trying different keys.

Look for the boot menu & set the CD drive to boot before the hard drive.
