For an exact ID of RAM we need the info listed under:
Motherboard | SPD | Device Description
We also need the exact model # of Compaq Presario.
there
Your RAM is two different speeds as well as two different manufacturers.
As to the speed issue the PC3200 will revert to the PC2100.
As to mixing manufacturers this sometimes causes conflicts.
A troubleshooting method would be to remove one RAM stick; preferably the 256 MB.
See if that makes a difference.
You also have a fairly limited graphics chip (& this was the fault of the dump log you posted):
Many new games require 64 MB. The games requirements will be posted on their site.Display:
Video Adapter S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR (32 MB)

Memory Speed PC2100 (133 MHz)Again I would recommend returning this to the shop which added the RAM & demand satisfaction from them.[ DIMM2: Infineon AED660UD00-500B98X ]

so i should just go back there and tell them 2 add new ram because this ram is screwed up?
My point would be if you took this to a professional shop and it returned non-functional that the problem belongs to those professionals.
They should be responsible for returning you a working computer.
Mixing RAM speeds & manufacturers is not a good idea and not very professional in my opinion.
There may be nothing wrong with each individual stick of RAM. It may just be the mix.
It could also be your graphics chip as that dump pointed out. You may need to have the chipset drivers reloaded.
You can try to work through testing these issues but i just think that since the problem started after the shop that the shop should fix it.
And I don't think that they should charge you anything more! Just be demanding. It's only fair!
ok thx manfor all ur help i really appriciate it
