Windows XP Home moves like a snail?

A friend of mine has Windows XP Home edition and when she logs into her account, it goes slooooow. If she logs onto any other username, it's works like it should. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it might be doing this?

Is there something particular on that account that is not on others?

Any programs specific to that account?

Any alterations or settings specific to that account?

There are programs on her account that aren't on the others, I know. There are also alot of pictures and even thought that could be slowing things down. I did do some spyware and adware testing and ran HijackThis! on it and saw nothing overly strange.

I was thinking that it has to be something like a program or maybe a spyware program running in the background. I was thinking of just making a new account and deleting her old one.

Thanks, Jephree, but I took a closer look at her system and noticed she has her user account and then there is another account that is called "Owner" that has the same things that are in her account. This account doesn't show up at the log on screen, but it is listed in Windows Exporer. This is very strange and might be the reason the computer is going so slow when she is in her account. Does anyone know anything about this?

The "Owner" account in XP Home is aka: The Built-in Administrator account.

In XP Home this account is "invisible" at login except in Safe Mode.

It is set up this way basically as a safe guard.
