I just reinstalled windows xp pro, everything works fine so far except I can't open Norton Antivirus on task bar or anywhere else.

try re-installing it again, that may work

The norton antivirus that I have came with my computer recovery disk, so how do I do that.

do you mean the windows recovery disc? if so, was it installed when you re-installed xp?

what happens when you put your disk in, do you get a list of programs to install?
if so click an norton antivirus

I uninstalled and installed norton Antivirus with the windows recovery disk and it's all good now.
