hey i really need help!!!

suddenly when i load up xp, it just pauses on the loading screen for 10 mins then restarts!
non of the safe modes work i just get file record segment #### is unreadable!
I tried booting up with the origional disc and went to repair mode. used chkdsk at the command prompt and it ran then i got the message

found one or more errors on volume

when i restarted it still didn't work

what am i doing wrong? can u help?

your error means roughly the same thing as the old 9x Scandisk on
a FAT partition saying bad cluster.

could you please give specific errors and also pc specs,

Use chkdsk/f

Also try fixboot
