I have this problem about my display. it happens randomly. when I start or restart my computer. the display settings goes down to the lowest possible resolution. a balloon pops up in the taskbar that says i have to set the display settings to the appropriate settings (which is 1024x768). the problem is, i CAN NOT even configure it. the color quality goes down to 4-BITS. I tried to uninstall the display drivers and install it back again then it's fine. but when I restart my computer, there it is again. I don't know what's going on here. I just reformatted my system fresh 2 days ago. this happened when I was still using a radeon 9200 then i switched to a brand new fx5200 and it still happens.

can someone here please help me.
