BSOD im lost!
i keep getting BSOD when playing video playing on games, or sometimes just doing nothing. ive turned off automatic restart.
i have a new graphics card and have updated the drivers like 1000000000 times. its a 6800GT the winfast.
infact my whole computer is new, its a Asus A8v, athlon 64 3500, gig of pc4000 corsair xms, two western digital 80 gig drives and a plextor 712a dvd drive.
i used to have a 9800 XT and Abit av8 but i changed because of problems but now ive still got problems in the form off what used to be restarts and now bsod.
im just downloading the debugging software now, so i can post a log, i usually get 0x0000008E and its either alcaudsl.sys or usbport.sys
i would really appreciate any help that fixes this because i just want a normal day without the worry of having to restart in the middle of things!
thanks alot
jonny

I think you will get a better responce if you post this in the Game Forum

Your errors point out your USB modem.
Did you do an XP install on this motherboard?
Are your drives SATA?
Post logs if you have them.

Is this your new board?

If your drives are on ribbon cables as a Master/slave they are standard IDE.
I was just making sure that they were not SATA/RAID which would have required special drivers.
The Belarc scan would show you details: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Do you have any issues with your modem? Check under Device Manager:
Start/Run/ devmgmt.msc
