I know this is a newbie question, but none of the keyboard commands work on my new computer. Ctrl+Alt+Del do nothing as well as Alt F4. Those are the two that I use alot. What other way is there for the Task Manager to come up without using Ctrl+Alt+Del? Thanks for your help.

To run task manager Right-Click on an empty part of your Windows toolbar (Bottom of screen) and hit Task Manager, this will launch the same thing as CTRL + ALT + DEL.

Have you scanned for Spyware recently? If not I would do this incase that is what is making your shortcuts play up. See our Spyware Information Page

I do use Spybot S&D every other day, and I use Ad-aware 6.0 once a week or so. I find that Spybot works better, and there are more updates for it.
Also, I have already tried to click on the toolbar and select the task manager, but nothing happens.

When I click on the link you gave me, a blank window pops up, and then disapears.

That means I have a virus right?

Have you tried the Symantec Online Scanner?

If you can't get to it again then it might be worth having a look in your HOSTS file. You can find this is C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and look for a file called 'hosts' it doesn't have an extension as such. Open it up in notepad and click Edit, Find. Type in 'trendmicro' and hit enter. If it finds it and it had 127.0.0.1 next to it, delete the line and save your changes. Search again to make sure you get them all and repeat the same function.

I attempted to try the link you gave me, and the virus scan started, and then there was a message saying that I could not run the program due to restrictions on my computer. Please contact a network admin.

And, when i searched for trendmicro, there were two lines with a 127.0.0.1 next to it, one said trendmirco.com and the other had a www in front. I should delete both lines?
