Just lately every time I go into my computer and click on cd drive or local disk it keeps on freezing and I can't go into it, any ideas what could be wrong, I have windows XP

could you please give more info?
How much RAM memmory do you have?
HD size?
CPU speed (e.g 2.6GHz)
ave you installed any new hardware/software?

a good start would be to run a spyware and virus scan if you havnt already done so
if you havnt got an antivirus and/or a spyware removal program, you can download them (for free) from my signature (AVG =antivirus, Ad-aware se=spyware remover)
