Somethig really seems to wrong with my Windows XP... I cant run the regedit, search, help and support and most of the system operations are going wrong...
Im new to this website and would really like it if someone would tell me whats wrong with my pc

Hey Maggy,

Can you give us a little more detail on what you cannot run and what error if any you get. Also what AntiVirus Software are you running if any?

It all started when I had LSASSS.EXE on my comp.. I fixed it with the sasser fix of symantec. My norton antivirus subscription had expired so i got the Norton AntiVirus2004 but couldnt install it since the unistall hadnt completely removed the symantec files... i tried removing it manually and that's when all the problems started to arise... Now i cant run most of the win32 files and sometimes i get error messages like missing .dlls and such related error... I try to run windows applications like Windows media player and error message i get is "An internal application error has occured, I cant edit my user accounts, cant run search, help and support and Registry Editor...
One of my friends suggested that I format the whole system.. Is that necessary or can it be fixed? Often my computer shutdown without any notice. I tried creatind a firewall in advanced options but it says there, "windows cannot display the properties of this function.The
Windows MAnagement Instrumentation information might be corrupted. to correct this use system restore." but unfortunately i cant access system restore...
