Re: My paging file is stuck at 0 and i can't change
no matter what i do, it says currently allocated : 0 mb, i tried system manage siz and the same happened
-
couple of other things to try;
The registry value where the pagefile settings get stored might have
become corrupt It's in;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Curr*entControlSet\Contr ol\Session
Manager\Memory Management
the value is called "PagingFiles". It should be a REG_MULTI_SZ and for
the setting you're trying there, should look like this:
D:\pagefile.sys 800 800, those two numbers representing your settings
Try deleting it, then go into the System applet again and set it to
what you want it to be from there.
if that doesn't help, try reading this solution;

Did you try the registry edit?
I am posting a bunch of stored searches Re: Page File so I haven't read them all thru.
Just hoping to hit on a fix for you: The regedit seemed promising.
