My computer is taking a long time to boot up, once running it is fine, I have done all the usual things like deleting temp files etc.

Did this just start happening? A noticable change? Any new hardware & or software?

Do you have all Windows Updates? Do you run Virus & Spyware programs?

If this is all of the sudden with no changes to your system try a system restore.

Another check would be via a HijackThis log:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.
    (Not in this section please).

    Hi Yvonne
You could check if there are too many processes loading at startup. Also make sure the system is free from spyware/adware and viruses. After disk cleanup also run defragmenter regularly to avoid startup delay due to fragmentation. You could also uninstall programs that you wont need.
