hi,system restore will not let me restore before july 2004(the computer is 1 year old) i cannot go through the calender,every time i go to restore the system is switched off ,this problem has only occurred since july as before then i had restored it a few times with no problem,hope some one can help thanks

July 2004? There is not enough space on your hard drive to store that far back.

If you receive an "unable to restore" message there is nothing you can do but try other points.
Either too much has changed; your disk space has been used; or some malware has messed the settings.

You can "reset" System Restore via: Rt. clik My Computer | Properties | System Restore
>Turn it off then >turn it back on. This will remove all previous points but will reset the system for new points to be created.
Also there you can set the disk space allowed. (Up to 12%).
