    windows not working properly

    my windows system is not running properly and i need desperate help it started off with me just deleteing some word pad files from windows and before i did this i created about 2 restore points then after emptying my recycle bin my computer started to crash it started with not letting me into my computer then froze the whole thing i had to turn it off by the switch it restarted and then came up disk check after that i logged on checked my computer and you know the separation lines where it says "non removable drives" etc well that had disappered it looked just like windows 98.and the 2 restore points that i created well they had gone as well and the funny thing is the memory (which i was trying to decrease, had not changed at all!) please can you help me!!!!!!!

    In light of your other posts I would check out the Packard Bell Recovery options:

    If XP was an upgrade on this machine you can run a Repair Install with your XP disk:
    http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

    If XP was the original Operating System follow the Packard Bell instructions for a Recovery with their disk.
