New to windows xp. Every 30 seconds or so my pc makes a sound as if it is saving back-up or something, and my cursor moves to the nearest corner of my screen. Does this unexpectantly and sometimes makes me click on the Start menu or the close X button when I'm working on something. It is extremely frustrating, does someone know how to fix this? Thanks!

i had a simaler problem with mouse for months then i relized that where id put my three ? mobile phone in the room made it move if i keep them far anoth away no problem but if i hold one a inch above the mouse and call that phone then the mouse moves all by its self so cheack there isent some kind of interferance from something it may even be some kind of eletric feild from your hard drive seen as you said that makes a noise

Does it just appear in the corner or does it zip there? Also is this a mouse or are on a laptop with a touch pad? I have a touchpad that every three weeks or so goes loopy and speedy opening any application it touches. Also, when the computer starts making the sound do you continue trying to use the mouse or do you stop moving it and it moves by itself?
