my computer was used by my son and now it beeps when its turned on, the windows opening music doesn't play, the keyboard which is built into the computer like a laptop has locked up and will not respond.I am typing this on the onscreen virtual keyboard.My son thinks it may be in safe mode and I may need to enter my password but I don't know where to do this.Also, the bar displays are flashing.The system has windowsXP,a panda anti-virus system and a spyware cleaner. It beeps when turned on? Before XP starts? But then XP loads?

Sounds like the BIOS is not reading the keyboard. Do you see the BIOS POST screen?

You can try a System Restore but if this is a BIOS problem that will not relate.

What is the make & model of the computer? Are you familiar with its' BIOS brand? & or its' beep codes?
