Re: Our pc won't wake up!

    Hi

It is a Tiny Power 3400+ System if that helps, have opened it up and there was a loose connection, made no difference. When I remove all power and then reconnected and tried to start, with cover off, the fans spin momentarily then stop. Have found out that it is a MSI motherboard MS6741 and have downloaded the manual for it. Will let you know how I get on.

    thanks jephree

Well, removed the battery and moved the jumper switch called jbat1 from one position to the other for 30 seconds while the power was off.

Fraid nothing has helped so far.

Anything else I could try or should I just take it to someone to get it fixed?

    Is this the board?

    What was the loose connection?

Can you verify that both the ATX 20-Pin power connector & 4-pin ATX 12V power connector are connected?

    That's it,

Only obvious difference is big chip has MSI / AGP x8 on it.

Connection that was loose was from the power unit to the bit where the
on/ off switch is attached to, sorry I really have very little experience of what everything is called.

However I have moved the jumper pin from 1.2 to 2.3 for 30 seconds and managed to remove the battery but all no use.

With box open , once I restore power and switch it on the red light flickers and the two fans turn a bit and then nothing!

Think I am going to have to get someone to come in and have a look at it as although I am willing I don't have enough knowledge about what I am doing.

    Thanks for trying to help.
Will let you know wot happens
    thanks
