can any 1 help ive got a gericom hummer laptop and my son has got into admin and messed set up a password and doesnt know what hes pressed so when i turn on it stops on login screen how can i get round this do i take out the cmos battery to reset or is there an to get it to factory mode alternitive any help graterly recived thx rich

Is this a BIOS password? Or windows?

If BIOS then clearing the CMOS probably will reset.

If windows xp home you can use the admin account via safe mode to change all other accounts.

If xp pro you might consider a repair installation.

If the xp was OEM then your manual should give recovery instructions.
