hey all,

when i install windows 98 my graphics card (geforcefx 5600) it works as normal, working at 32bit true colour, but when i install windows xp pro on my computer the graphics card is not being detected and only works at 8 bit. I know its not the windows as i have tryed 2 diffrent windows xp disks and i have had windows xp working before with my graphics card

So now i decided to install my graphics card driver (even without installing the driver it has a default of 16bit) but after i install my driver, i reset my PC then before windows opens i get an error saying somthing about windows\driver is not been found.... any help anyone can get me ??? ill reply with the whole messgae that appers in a min !!

Who is the manufacturer of the geforce fx 5600?

Are you using a dual boot 98 & XP?

Or did you upgrade to XP?

Have you removed all graphics drivers & software before starting XP?

Also: a full error message would help.
