It is possible that cmd.exe got corrupted or that some malware placed a substitute process somewhere.

Try this:

- Run cmd.exe while in Safe Mode
- Instead of just typing cmd.exe type this:

c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

What happens?

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.




As to the reinstall: you will be asked: What Operating System do you want to Reinstall.

Any other than the one you choose should be unaffected.
