user account permanently locked?
i posted in a seperate thread because this problem is unrelated as far as i know...
i had a user name "brian" on my PC (at startup screen) and it was password protected.
i then restored the computer to a earlier time or something like that (it was a while ago i dont quite remember)
now, when i go into doc/setting the folder named "owner" that represents my origional user thingy is denying access and i have a new one called "Owner.YOUR-B79WZ4ROSE"
i want to know if anyone can help me get inside of the origional file folder

Is the home or pro?
What accounts do you have now?
Brian
Owner
Owner.Your-etc.
Was the original built-in administrator account password protected?
Do you remember your password/s?
What is the exact denial message?

i use home edtion
accounts as seen on startup are only Brian and Admin. (i only have to choose in safe mode... i think because i no longer use a pass.)
i dont think the origional built in admin account was pass protected...no
i can remember the password... it would take maybe 5-6 tries

In Home the Built-in Admin account is only visable in Safe Mode.
Did you create all these accounts? If no then this may definitly be related to your viral issues.
Is the Owner account your main account? Is that Brian? Where is Brian?
What is listed under Control Panel | User Accounts ?
Are all your accounts there?
Also perhaps this may help:
