Backing up files on a network

    Hi People,

I would like to back-up all my files on my network onto one pc and on to floppies. How do I go about it? I have 6 pcs on the system and use Win. XP on all of them.

    Thanks

    Chris

    Hey Chris,

What quite a few people like to do is create images for each machine, so you take a snapshot of the hard disk and save it incase you need to restore it at a later date. In essence this snapshot is also a backup of the whole machines hard disk including files etc. There are a few ways to do this but I have found Norton Ghost in the past to be particularly useful.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering though, is there no other way to do it without buy other software. I live in Zambia, and the price of software here is crazy. Doesn't Win XP have a provision to backup files?

    Thanks

    Chris
