    AWDFLASH 7.89 (c) award software 2000.

    Usage: AWDFLASH [filename1] [filename2] [ /<sw> <sw>.....]]

    Filename1: new bios name for flash programming

    Filename2: bios file for backing up oringal bios

    <swtches>

    ?: show help messages
    py: program flash memory
    sy: back up oringal bios to disk file
    sb: skip bootblock programming
    cp: clear pnp data after programming
    cd: clear dmi data programming
    cc: clear cmos data programming
    r: reset system after programming
    tiny: occupy lessor memory
    e: return to dos programming is done
    f: use flash routines in oringal bios for flash programming
    pn: no flash programming
    sn: no oringal bios back up
    sd: save dmi data to file

    cksXXXX: compare binfile checksum with XXXX

    example: AWDFLASH 2A59I000.BIN /PY/SN/CD/CP/CKS2635

    thats all it says.

    It appears that that 2nd file (Save) is to save your current BIOS.

    Do you know how that is listed? xxxxxxx.bin ???

    the file on the floppy disk is ca64bcab.bin. do u want the xxxxxxxx.bin for the bios that is on there now? if so how do i find that out? thanks

    At one point you said you had the same BIOS. Did you see a BIOS #?

    It is probably listed as you boot up the machine.

    Just going by what I would try.........

    I would try: backup.bin

    ok i did that and got to the next stage thanks but i load the new bios and it said write ok and once it finished that it came to a choice to press f1: reset f2:exit and i reset like it said in the guide thing but it still says the bios is v6.00pg and nothing has changed???

    It is the same BIOS. The version of 4/23/01 was the last update.

    I was hoping that flashing it would repair any problems.

    Are you still experiencing the same problems?

    ok thanks i just turned off the computer then turned it back on and all was fine but if it happens again ill post it up but i think it is all fixed Thanks!!!!
