You are in a Windows XP Command Prompt. You do not want to be there.

This needs to be run outside of Windows. No C: ...you want A:_

You need to boot the floppy. Windows will not start. You will get a full black screen with a flashing _ or perhaps A:_

Did you put those files onto a Boot floppy?

Are you following what I am trying to say

I would look for an instruction relating to the flash screen that you have shown.

I can make an assumption that the flash.exe is asking for the BIOS file name

& then asking for a name under which it will be saved.

In such a case you could name it anything; or just repeat: CA64BCAB.BIN

I just hate to make an assumption at this level.

In reading thru whatever A:\>F789.EXE /? threw out do you see anything relevant to this setup?

i typed CA64BCAB.BIN and it worked but then said error disk full so i did it again and before it did that i changed the disks over but at the end it did nothing and i still had the same bios. but it saved CA64BCAB.BIN to the floppy disk that i put iN. ?

    Just looking back to

    http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/mb_faq...YPE=US&SITE=US

There is only one other command:

    A:\>F789.EXE CA64BCAB.BIN /F/QI

Or just another try: Save: BIOSUPGRADE.TXT

Or what about entering nothing/ blank/ enter? Does that work?

Again just working on assumptions here

Wish I was more sure of what is happening
