Hi.

I have a problem where my wireless connection dissconnects every few minutes for an unknown reason. I have a full signal (54mbs) so I dont know why it occurs. Its awfully annoying if I want to transfer stuff across the network because I have to do it in small chunks and then reconnect.

Its a built in Wireless card and there is another laptop on the network which doesn't have this problem.

Is this a new problem? Did this laptop ever work properly?

Can you ID any settings that may be different between these two laptops?

Check both by running start/run/ cmd then type ipconfig/all

Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
