    Permanently Change Print Settings *solved*

My grandmother's computer runs on Windows XP. She recently got it, so she's not all too sure about using it. We bought her some cheap ink cartridges for the printer, but the 'Quality Settings' must be on 'Best' in order for a sheet to print correctly. Is there any way I can change that setting and make it stay, so that she doesn't have to change it every time she prints? Thank you!!

*I appologize for posting, this issue has been resolved. Thank you for your time.

With most printers, you can set-up a 'profile' that you can save and recall for later use. In Control-Panel, go to Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the printer and choose Printing Preferences. This is where the set-up can differ per printer. On my Epson, I would choose Custom Mode, and then Advanced. On this applet I can set everything up like color and quality. I can then save these settings and give the profile a name (something like 'my best quality'). I can then adjust the printer preferences by selecting this profile name.

    Hope this helps
