As Bear says: we need alot more info in order to assist.
First off change this setting & then report the full error message in the future:
rt. click My Computer then click Properties then Advanced then Startup and RecoverySettings then unclick Automatically restart
Also: look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.
Also view your Error Log via:
[1] Start Menu
[2] Help and Support
[3] Pick a Task
[4] Tools
[5] Advanced System Information
[6] View the Error Log
For the most detailed results:
Go to start | search (type in) .dmp
Note the location of your latest .dmp file.
Then:
1) Download and install the Debugging Tools from Microsoft
2) Download and install this debugwiz
3) Open the Wiz & Browse to, or paste in the path to, your latest .dmp file.
4) After the Wiz creates a Text document attach it back to this thread.
OK I have A Intel Pentium 530 ,1Gb DDR 400MHz Kingston,Intel 915GAV with Audio, VIdeo (GMA900) and Lan On Board, 120GB Sata ,DVDRW LG GSA-4163b Win XP SP2
The error is 0x100000d1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf718470f)
My pc didnt power off during 8 days after I get the new firmware of the DVDRW and the new Bios , and todaY this new problem happened. (0xf718470f NOW)
Also for the future please change your dump log setting via:
Right click My Computer then click Properties then Advanced then Startup and Recovery | Settings:
Write debugging information: change to Complete memory dump.
