Hi, my computer wont boot beyond the windows XP boot screen. After coming to the boot screen , it shows loading and after that it simply restarts with no error. I installed Windows ME on a separate drive and it seems to be working fine. Could u please help me??

I also tried getting into safe mode but it does not go into that either restarting abruptly at the last loading mup.sys file

Is this a new installation of XP?

Home or Pro?

If it's not a new installation, are there any Service Packs installed?

Please provide as much information as possible. CPU, Memory amount, motherboard type/system type or model (ie; Gateway 2765 etc) as a basis.

Initially, if ME installed without problems this indicates it's probably not a hardware problem, unless it's a hardware compatability issue with XP.

I did a few checks....i tried running Windows Xp by pressing F8 and they pressing the option "Do not restart on Error"...after this i got an error

Also my comp was working fine till yesterday until i disabled this software called Tally Server (which is popular accounting software here)...
