Hi All!
I have downladed a zip file and if i extract it with winzip it works well
whereas if i try to do it with windows extrator (compressed(zipped) filders) it doesnt give any output nor any error.
Please help and thanx in advance

winzip probably has taken over the file association.

Check Control Panel | Folder Options | File Types

Also: just curious: with winzip in place why are you wanting the XP extractor?

Also can you open other zip files with the XP Extractor ???

As its mentioned to check for folder options | file types in this ZIP files opens with windows extractor but still its now working
Actually if i try to open ZIP file with compressed folders it doesnt response nor gives an error hope u understood my problem.
And it has problem only with downloaded ZIP files rest all files can be opened

Do you still have WinZip installed?

Will WinZip still work?

If WinZip is installed but not working you probably need to remove it.

If you right click a .zip file does it offer the choice to: Open With?

Also an alternative to WinZip & XP is this freeware program:
