    try to run msconfig and pull up windows task manager?

    try to run msconfig and pull up windows task manager and these come up on screen for a split second then they disappear . i want to run safe mode due to a potential computer virus and i cant get the boot.ini page to come up
    , i think ive been hacked. please help thank you

    Thank You Jephree for your help. Greatly appreaciated.

    got task manager up(perdita) and can end YIMSNGR32.Exe
    go to msconfig click general then start up and remove from start up 2- YIMSNGR32 click apply close and restarts same way, with YIMSNGR32.Exe running... then try msconfig general and select startup remove Yimsngr32 apply and look back on start up page and the third one down is choosen i click general start up and YIMSNGR32 is back on the list... it wont let me remove from start up viscious loop wont let me remove anything from start up list
    any suggestions would be much appreciated
