Both options are checked and haven't been changed

Windows XP Pro, using an account named 'dh' (my IRC nickname lol) created in the Windows XP Setup Wizard. I've never used the built-in one as yet.

    Thanks again

    Just to clarify:

You have Use the Welcome Screen checked?

    Or?

Perhaps set a password for your account to force a logon screen.

    Or perhaps create another account.

If this is a fairly recent issue you might try a system restore to a point prior to the problem.
