Error Messages
I run XP Pro SP2 and have been using the Quicken programme sucessfully for many years. However when I try to open it up now I get an error message as follows:
QW.exe Application Error. The instruction at OX73E6827A referenced memory at OX01341OFC. The memory could not be read"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programee and it opens up ok. But if I close it and want to open it up again, I get the error mesage. Any ideas please? I have looked at the MS Knowledge Base but could not find anything.

Having read your thread here:
http://forums.computeractive.co.uk/t...5&thread=61432
I can only add some search ideas:
Look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
Also view your Error Log via:
[1] Start Menu
[2] Help and Support
[3] Pick a Task
[4] Tools
[5] Advanced System Information
[6] View the Error Log
Also inbetween your uninstalls & reinstalls were you manually clearing all Quicken files?
Start/Search/ quicken
You mention you added no new hardware or software at this time?
Do you run an AntiVirus? Have you scanned?
Also the fact that it works OK in Safe Mode have you searched your other services & or programs for conflicts?
If you run Quicken & only Quicken will it start OK?
Also what options are you given at that error message?
Debug etc.? Are you able to re-try? What happens?
