Everytime i start windows, I get the following message:

Windows XP Setup
Please go to the Control Panel to install and configure
system components

i dont know what to install. everyhting seems to be working fine.

any ideas why this might have happened?

You can go to Start/Run/ msconfig | Startup

Look for any unknown items.

Also you can download this:

Open it & then click File | Save

Post back the results & we can look it over.
