PLS Urgent Unknown Boot Problem
My DELL Notebook Just started with boot problems, finally it started to try boot and restarted again and agaib, next I tried to F8 and start fom SAFE MODE with no results (it rebooted again) the tried all options from the F8 menu with no success.
Finally I've tried to boot from different CDROM, Original XP CD, a made bootable recovery CD with some ntfs tools.
Even though that I've changed the boot order on the BIOS it won't boot from CDROM. I even took out the HD from the boot list and the CDROM still says "no operating system found". I've tried the CD's on my desktop with no problem.
Is this a memory, HD, BIOS error?.
Theres no way I can get in the system to start the recovery procedure.
Please advice, my best regards and thanks for your time and help.

Does your BIOS see your CDROM? Does it see your HDD? Does it count your memory?

Yes it does. I'm thinking in shortcircuit the motherboard and see what happens. It looks like NTLDR and NTDETECT + boot ini are not in the disk.
Thanks for your reply, regars

Have you previously installed any new software? Or did this just start happening out of the blue? what are the specs of the laptop, as far as OS, Hardware, etc etc

It just happened, no software installed, but software was removed, symantec old folder, and a small couple more, then chkdsk c; /f that was schedulled for next boot, and defrag. On next boot it didn't boot.
thanks for reply, I think I got it. I'm just trying different XP CD and it seems that one of them is loading as of now.
Regards and thanks again for your time and help
