Why is my PC restarting over and over again?
This is happening to my PC. Can you help me solve this problem?
We apologize for the inconvenience but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.
If a previous startup attempt was interrupted because of a power failure or because the power or reset button was pressed, or if you arent sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally
Safe Mode
Safe Mode With Networking
Safe Mode With Command Prompt
Last Known Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Start Windows Normally
I have tried every option it gives you but it just does'nt seem to boot up, it gets to the windows xp logo where you can see it loading and then resets itself and displays the above all over again.
Can anyone help?
I would really appreciate anyone that can help with this problem. Thanks in advance all.

Do you have a full version XP CD?
Or was XP pre-installed (OEM)?
With a full version you can try to run Check Disk from the Recovery Console.
FAQ#21 http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/xpfaq.html
If this does not work then you will probably need to run a Repair Installation of XP.

With an OEM you will need to refer to your manual for methods of using your Recovery CD's.

I'm having the same problem, and I'm hoping to try repairing with the disk today. Assuming I can prod my dad into giving it to me. Otherwise I'll just go for the brute-force method of reinstalling. Wish me luck!
