Well, Im running on windows xp home edition and everytime i connect to the internet, about 5 minutes later, it says that LSA shell export version has encountered a problem and needs to be terminated and has a message that says send error report or dont send. either one u pick, about 3 minutes later, it will start a 1 minutes system shutdown. How can i fix this?

You've apparently contracted the W32.Sasser.Worm

This worm attacks machines that are not running the latest Windows Updates including SP2 & a Firewall.

Then update your computer to SP2 with all subsequent updates Plus a Firewall.

Well, right now ive ran all the removal tools and none have found it and microsoft doesnt have sp2 for xp users? any other suggestions?

Do you still have the same error?

What Service Pack do you have?

Right click My Computer then click Properties: it will say there.

Do you have all the updates from Windows Update? via All Programs | Windows Update.

If yes to all the above then try the following:

Please follow owen's Instructions and then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section. (Not in this section please).

If everything is clean there then return here so we can search this further.

Was your XP an OEM version? (pre-installed)

Or do you have a full version XP disk?
