My NEC notebook is well within range of a wireless network. Signal strenght is good and status is "connected". Normally I would be able to surf immediately after clicking on internet icon. However, this time, it is unable to do so despite being "connected". The wireless network connection status box shows that my PC is sending out data but the receive is "0" all the time, indicating that information is unable to come in. Cross checking the same network with another PC was a success indicating that there is nothing wrong with the network.

I've checked for viruses and is protected by zone alarm and all is good.

Advise please as I'm now handicapped without surfing capabilities. Thank you.

Did this notebook ever work on this network? Is this a new problem?

Are you sure that ZoneAlarm is set up right?

Is SP2's firewall turned off?

What do you get when you go to Start/Run/ cmd
then type ipconfig /all
