Hi,madmikejt12
Well it looks like you are in great hands here best of luck
not sure but the only thing i had to do after doing what
you are about to do was redownload the Windows updates
& do my IE settings over again but like i said

ok HJThis, thanks for the info im going home tomorrow now so i will try it then, ill let you know if it works![]()
Jephree, i think the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error is similar to the problem you had http://www.d-a-l.com/help/showthread.php?t=19062
I have run many Repair Installs & never had any data loss.
Backup is directly related to value of data however. If you have irreplacable data; then back it up.
If it is that important then put your hard drive on another computer as slave just to extract the data.
My IRQL errors are occassional & I have traced them to my IDE Controller drivers. The other poster there mentioned RAM. I know you ran the Windows RAM test... you might want to run this one:
http://www.memtest86.com/
It is much more comprehensive. Again it will boot off a floppy. You will want to let it run for a couple hours at least. Overnight is a good idea. It will definitly test your RAM.
ok, thanks i dont have any important data on it luckily and i will try RAM test later on
