HELP!!!!!!!!.....i downloaded a film and went to open it.....then my icons of everything on pc has been stripped of their top picture if you can work this out please ....all comments welcome asap

Try System Restore?

done system restore no difference......anti-virus scan fine! icons look like they need a program to open if you understand this just plain....???

Have you checked Control Panel | Folder Options | File Types ?

yes file types that what its got to do with i think but not sure what this should be set on????

Is it the same for the icons in the start menu etc......?

You can change each file type icon on a line by line basis via Folder Options.

Click a line & choose Advanced & then change icon.

I will keep looking for an overall default but I do not see it off hand.
