Pc Wont Boot Up Just Keeps Restarting

I was sitting on my pc the other day and unfortunately the tumble dryer broke which caused the power to trip, this meaning my pc was turned off without shutting it down from the desktop. So i turned it back on and this is what it displayed on screen:

We apologise for the inconvenience but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted because of a power failure or because the power or reset button was pressed, or if you arent sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows Normally

    Safe Mode
    Safe Mode With Networking
    Safe Mode With Command Prompt

Last Known Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)

    Start Windows Normally

I have tried every option it gives you but it just does'nt seem to boot up, it gets to the windows xp logo where you can see it loading and then resets itself and displays the above all over again.

    Can anyone help?

I would really appreciate anyone that can help with this problem. Thanks in advance all.

    Hello,KMcWilliams1987 & Welcome

Hmmm well did you try going to the Last Known Configuration
that worked for the PC before the problem what have you

Thanks for the warm welcome m8

the first thing i tried was Start windows normally, pressed enter and it displayed the windows xp logo as if it was loading up then it just restarted itself and displayed the same error again. So i decided to go for The Last Known Good Configuration and hey, what do you know, it done the exact same thing. I tried all safe modes too and same thing just keeps happening

    Hi,KMcWilliams1987

Lit me ask do you have the WinXP CD
if yes not sure if this may help

Windows XP CD-ROM and go to the recovery console. Once there copy the USERINIT.EXE from the CD or from another working PC to the windows \system32 directory. Once done reboot see what happens

oh hold on can you get to Safe Mode

    Hi,KMcWilliams1987

Hmmm you know there is one other way to go here
but you will need 6 Floppy Disk & the XP CD
once you have these items install the 6 Floppy Disk
have the CD in hand & do an XP repair.

you know this is all good as long as it's not say a Ram problem
or Power Box problem just 2 more things to think about here.

    Hi,KMcWilliams1987

Now this may sound dumb but i have seen it before

Make sure that there are no floppy disks or cds in your drives. This happened once on a PC i worked on

& it all came down to having a blank cd being in a cd drive

No i can asure there is no CD or Floppy in any of the drives so this cannot be the problem. I am really starting to think it may be a hardware problem but usually when there is something wrong with the hardware you will get a series of beeps and the PC doesnt even come on.

    Strange...

Anyone else out there that can help, i am pulling the hair out of my head trying to think what it may be
