    Microsft Backup Utility

    Hi every body..
This is my problem w/ Backup Utility.

I have 3 computers connected to each other w/ different users. And all users are allowed to use all of these 3 computers. I have administrative access to all computers and other don't have. I prepare that setup to prevent damage.

I make a scheduled backup system using Microsoft Backup Utility in 1 PC. Time, Date and write the backup file to other PC. That seems only working under my account which is Administrative account.

The problem is when other users is log on that PC which don't have administrative account. My scheduled backup is not working.

I don't want to change the settings or give them administrative account. I want only is my scheduled backup will work who ever log on even doesn't have administrative account.

I'll did try to change settings under DCOMCONFIGURATION and add my backup groups. But thus not work at all.

    Hope you can help me...

    God Bless us all

Here is some material to browse:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u..._03july14.mspx

    http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_t.htm#ts

    Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18 and delete the files in there.
Scheduled Tasks will recreate the files needed.

Note: This folder is hidden by default. Go to Start/Run and type in:
control folders. View: Show hidden files and folders.

Running Scheduled Tasks without a password:

    For Pro: Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Local Security
Policy/Local Policies/Security options. In the right hand pane (third down).

Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
This is enabled by default, disable it.

For Home: Run Scheduled Task without a Password (Line 68)

    Troubleshooting the Task Scheduler
    http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_t.htm#ts

The following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles may provide a solution:

Task Scheduler Does Not Run Tasks When "Run As" User Account Has No Password

HOW TO: Troubleshoot Scheduled Tasks in Windows XP
    http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q308558

    From Help & Support;
When you create a task, you must provide a user name and a password, thus setting the security context in which the task can run. Multiple users of a computer can each have their own scheduled tasks.

Once a user name and password are set, another user cannot cancel or delete the task unless the user has the correct permissions.

Thanks..I did wats u say, but still not working...

Additional info. to my problem, all users are logging-on thru server. This 3 PC are connected. I want to backup my files to other PC. I already change the security of the folder to write the backup. (all users has a Full control on that folder).

I don't usually use the PC that I put a backup schedule. Usually the user who log-on has no Administrative account, but I still want to run the Microsoft Backup Utility.
