i need help removing a trojan form my registry can anyone help ?

I'm sure we can, with a bit of information.

What program(s) identified the trojan?

What is the name of the trojan (if you know)?

What are the problem symptoms?

What state is the system currently in? (ie; What is it doing or not doing.)

Please provide as much information as possible.

hi,
i cant remember the name of the trojan but basically i boot up my pc and the
trojan is located in the registry so when i click on a desk top icon to open
a program it trys to load then it wont (egg timer comes up then dissapears)
?
i installed mcfee anti virus this program ran and didnt find the virus. then
when i done a live update it turned the softwrae off and restarted my pc ?
now when i try and click on the desk top item it just wont open. i even
tried to boot it from the disk drive and it just wont load
also when i connect to the internet it will either keep opening up loads of
windows or it will send out spam emails , let me connect for a while then
wont let me search anymore. i spoke to my internet provider who said my pc
was sending them spam emails ?
