From within windows go to start | run | msconfig

Open the startup tab & uncheck the unwanted entries.

Or there are many little 3rd party tools such as:

    http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...autoruns.shtml

Which is my favorite. It gives you alot more info than msconfig plus is easier to use in the long run.

    Download this program:

    http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/fr...autoruns.shtml

Open it & let it load. Then click File on the toolbar & then Save As

This will create a text document. Post it back here & we can tell you what to shut down.
