    Microsoft Printer Spooler Service issues

My Norton Security keeps popping up with a notice saying Rules automatically created for the program: Microsoft Printer Spooler Service. It does it at times when I try printing something, when I am working with any Microsoft Office product and at random times. Sometimes it pops up almost 2 dozen times one after the other.

Are there issues between the 2 programs? MS printer spooler and the Norton Security 2004?

Just a quick look at Symantec brings this up:

    http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...is&svy=&csm=no

It is a slow loader (the link). Look under this section:
Solution 2: Creating a firewall rule for the printer.
This section describes how to create a firewall rule for the printer in Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.

The issue is the printer is on a network or thinks it is & is therefore triggering a firewall response. I am not familiar with NSI but you should be able to change the Rules.
